Introducing the Syncratic blog
Why we are starting this blog, the Enterprise Knowledge Assurance thesis behind the platform, and what future posts will cover.
Syncratic
We are starting the Syncratic blog to write in public about the platform we build and the ideas behind it. Building an Enterprise Knowledge Assurance Platform generates lessons about knowledge, governance, and systems engineering, and those lessons deserve a home. This blog is that home.
The thesis we build from
Enterprise knowledge is naturally fragmented. This fragmentation leads to knowledge silos that inhibit the ability of an organization to evolve by leveraging the information from the repositories of subject matter experts (SMEs). The fragments take many forms: documents, structured records, conversations, and continuous operational signals. Each carries part of what an organization knows, and each keeps its context in a different shape. Working across those fragments means assembling context by hand, or worse, by chance of knowing where to look, which limits the forming of knowledge relationships that connect one piece of knowledge to another.
This is the problem Syncratic works on:
Syncratic reveals the relationships across data entities, their dependencies, and changes over time. This interweaves them into a governed living knowledge structure that people and other knowledge-dependent entities and workflows can reason over.
We call the discipline behind this Enterprise Knowledge Assurance: knowledge stays governed, contextual, and evidence-backed while it changes every day. Assurance carries a concrete meaning here. Every answer traces back to its sources, provenance travels with the knowledge as it federates, and access controls follow it into every surface where it is used, from search results to AI agents.
What we plan to write about
- Platform engineering. How the knowledge graph model, evidence linking, and provenance work together, and how the Control Plane governs access across all of it.
- Signals from governed evidence. SignalOps derives deterministic signals from governed evidence in time series. We will show how that works in domains like market operations.
- Knowledge for agentic systems. People, applications, and AI agents reason over the same governed structure, and we will write about what that looks like in practice.
- Field notes. Lessons from customer work: where fragmentation shows up, and what connecting it changes for the teams involved.
Posts will follow the work, tied to what ships.
How we will write
Two commitments shape this blog. First, posts describe working systems: when we cover something the platform does today, we describe what it does. We consider a capability platform-ready when it is scalable, reproducible, and lives up to the core tenet of Syncratic: governed. Second, when we write about direction, we label it as direction. Questions and counterpoints are welcome at hello@syncratic.io; the best ones will shape future posts.
See it on your own data
The clearest picture comes from watching the platform connect your own data, structured and unstructured: documents, records, and signals. Request a demo and we will show you.
